But for Chris Russo and Joe Rudy, it was just fun and games.
The Morristown duo spent parts of 2009 and 2010 attaching road flares to weather balloons and sending them up into the Morris County sky, making believers out of skeptics.

And now, the prank has been named by TruTV as one of the best hoaxes ever.
