WATCH: Trump Rips Christie, Calls N.J. A 'Disaster,' Says He Knew About Bridgegate

Trump accused Christie of knowing about Bridgegate, and blasted his leadership of New Jersey.

Donald Trump says he’s been nice to Gov. Christie, but that time is up.

The billionaire presidential candidate, whose name was displayed atop Atlantic City casino skyscrapers he once owned, lasted out at the governor for criticizing his call for barring Muslim immigrants from entering the country (see video below).

Trump ripped Christie primarily for the ”Bridgegate” controvery that led to a guilty plea and two indictments, a political payback scandal involving the closing of George Washington Bridge lanes.

Trump questioned how Christie couldn’t know about the scandal when the lane closings prevented ambulances and many other cars from getting to New York, saying he had “breakfast” with the people accused of plotting the scheme ”every day.”

“He totally knew about it,” Trump said. “He’s got a totally friendly group of people there”

Trump reacted after Christie said on Twitter that Trump’s Muslim immigration plan is “the kind of thing that people say when they have no experience and don’t know what they’re talking about.”

“I’ve been nice to Christie, but he really hit me today,” Trump said in the below video at a campaign rally at the U.S.S. Yorktown Monday.

He also ripped Christie for having nine New Jersey credit downgrades, having high taxes that “are coming out of my ears” and his embrace of President Obama after Superstorm Sandy.

“We have to stop people who want to kill us,” he said, referring to terrorists. ”Does that sound like an inexperienced man?”

Trump’s criticism of Christie begins at the 29:51 mark. See below:
