MORRISTOWN, NJ — In the words of the 1980s power ballad, you don't know what you got till it's gone. This can easily apply to local businesses, as recent Patch discussions had readers longing for Greater Morristown's stores and restaurants of the past.

Morristown Patch and Morris Township-Morris Plains Patch asked readers the following: If you could bring back one local business that closed in town (it doesn't matter how long ago), which would it be?

Some of the responses included recent closures, such as Century 21, which shut down in December 2020 as the chain declared bankruptcy. Others remembered blasts from the past, such as the Epstein's department store.
