Christmas travel conditions could be perilous in parts of New Jersey, where a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued.

Christmas Eve travel conditions could be perilous in parts of New Jersey, where a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued due to the likelihood of freezing rain tonight. "The ice will result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges," the National Weather Service said.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in place in northern New Jersey, including in Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Union, Morris, Warren and Sussex counties. The advisory goes from 6 p.m. Sunday to 1 p.m. Monday. According to the National Weather Service, additional ice accumulations of a light glaze to a few hundredths of an inch are expected. The freezing rain could mix with snow at times.
The precipitation will be rain in the southern parts of the state.
