MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A fatal, multi-vehicle crash on I-80 has left a woman dead and three people hospitalized, including two children, according to police.

On Thursday, just after 8 a.m., police were called to I-80 west at milepost 34.5 in Wharton Borough on reports of a crash.

Investigators found that a Subaru SUV driven by Tisha R. Hutchinson, 39, of Piscataway, had been rear-ended by an Audi SUV.

The impact sent Hutchinson's Subaru into the guard rail while the Audi continued forward and struck a Pontiac, officials said. That impact then caused the Pontiac to slam into a Chevrolet SUV, authorities added.

Hutchinson sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, police said.
