ā€œWe are deeply honored to be recognized by Morristown during Women’s History Month,ā€ said Helen Archontou, CEO of YWCA Northern New Jersey. ā€œEvery day, we work with women who are determined to move forward as they find employment, heal from trauma, and create new opportunities for themselves and their families. The YWCA also offers several initiatives to support professional growth. These include the YW WE360 Business Essentials Program, the YW Tech Lab, and an annual Career Expo. These programs provide career coaching and job training to connect participants with employers.

For women returning from incarceration, the Reentry Support Services offer case management and housing connections. The organization also operates healingSPACE, which serves as a sexual violence resource center in Bergen County.

Additional support is available for women veterans through Operation Sisterhood, which focuses on mental health and career readiness.

The group recently launched the first Center for Racial Healing in New Jersey to provide culturally responsive mental health care. Furthermore, the Know Your Employee Rights initiative helps women address workplace discrimination and harassment.

Beyond these services, the organization provides affordable childcare and STEM programs for young girls. The YWCA continues its mission to ensure all women have the resources needed to thrive regardless of their circumstances. The organization remains committed to expanding these opportunities as it looks toward the future.
