1 Dead, 4 Hurt After Car Crash In Newark: Authorities
A car crash in Newark left one person dead and four others injured, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — A car crash in Newark left one person dead and four others injured on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the two-car collision took place around 4:20 a.m. at the intersection of Broad Street and Pennington Street.
The driver of one of the vehicles, Jose Murillo, 34, of Elizabeth, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle and three passengers were taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, authorities said.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Crime Scene Investigations Bureau is investigating the fatal crash. No arrests have been made, authorities said.
