100 Evacuated From Newark Building, High CO Levels Found: DPS

Newark authorities evacuated more than 100 people from a Euclid Avenue building due to high levels of carbon monoxide.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark authorities evacuated more than 100 people from a Euclid Avenue building on Wednesday due to high levels of carbon monoxide.

Newark firefighters responded to a commercial building at 43 Euclid Avenue after receiving a call about “high CO levels,” the Newark Department of Public Safety said.

Newark authorities evacuated 102 people from the building. Workers are attempting to identify the source of the leak, the NDPS stated at 11:19 a.m.
