Missing 11-Year-Old From Newark Found, Police Say

Police have found Almaceh Turner, of Newark, who was reported missing on June 27.

NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Newark police reported at 3:30 p.m. that Almaceh Turner has been located and is unharmed. Our original article follows below.

Newark authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 11-year-old child. According to police, Almaceh Turner, of Newark, was reported missing from the area of Norfolk Street near Sussex Avenue around 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

“While police are actively searching for Almaceh, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and returning him to his family,” the Newark Department of Public Safety stated.

According to police:

“Almaceh is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds. He has a medium [skin] complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He also has a birth mark on his left shoulder. Almaceh was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, army camouflage shorts and black sneakers (see below photo).”
