2 Fatal Shootings In Newark, No Arrests; Police Probes Continue
Authorities are investigating two separate fatal shootings that took place in Newark on Wednesday night.
NEWARK, NJ — Authorities are investigating two separate fatal shootings that took place in Newark on Wednesday night.
The first shooting took place on the 100-block of Dayton Street, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
Police arrived on the scene at 7:27 p.m. after getting a report about a shooting. They found Rahim E. Wynn, 41, of Newark, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported Wynn to University Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.

The second shooting took place on the 700-block of South Orange Avenue, authorities said.
Police arrived on the scene at 10:04 p.m. They found Kevin E. Brown, 61, of Newark, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to University Hospital and pronounced dead at 10:45 p.m.

No arrests have been made in connection with either shooting, authorities said Thursday.
