2 Masked Men Carjack Driver In Newark; Police Search For Suspects
The car was found five days later in Jersey City, police said.
NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are searching for two people who allegedly carjacked a driver on Irvine Turner Boulevard earlier this month, authorities announced Monday.
The Newark Department of Public Safety released the following details about the carjacking, which took place on Feb. 11:
“At approximately 2 a.m., the victim was leaving his residence on the 400-block of Irvine Turner Boulevard when two individuals wearing black clothing and ski masks assaulted him. They rifled through his pockets and took his car keys and vehicle, a 2018 grey Chevrolet Malibu. Police located the vehicle five days later in Jersey City on Feb. 16.”
