2 Missing People In Essex County; Police Seek Public’s Help

Police: A 62-year-old man was last seen at a local Howard Johnson. A 38-year-old woman was last seen on West Runyon Street.

Newark police are asking for the public’s help in two separate missing persons cases, authorities announced Wednesday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, anyone with information about either case can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips an also be made using the Police Division’s website or through its smartphone app.

MISSING MAN

Police said Cary Williams, 62, was reported missing on March 10.

Williams, who is known to frequent Elizabeth, was last seen in suite 353 at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham, located at 20 Frontage Road in Newark. He was wearing a black beanie, grey sweatpants, a white short-sleeve shirt and white Nike sneakers. He is 5 feet 6 inches and 160 pounds, with brown eyes, a low-cut hairstyle and a light skin complexion, authorities said.

MISSING WOMAN

Chloe Ferrel, 38, of Newark, was reported missing on Feb. 15, Newark police said.

Ferrel was last seen on the 200-block of West Runyon Street. She was wearing a gray coat and slippers. She is 5 feet 9 inches and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She is diagnosed with schizophrenia, depression and bipolar disorder, authorities said.
