NEWARK, NJ — Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers recently seized two guns at Newark Liberty International Airport, authorities announced Monday.

TSA checkpoint officers arrested a woman who works at a retail shop in the airport on Aug. 18 after she was stopped with a loaded 9mm gun in her bag at a security checkpoint on her way to work. The woman – a Newark resident – was charged with a weapons-related offense.

In addition, her airport identification was confiscated, TSA authorities noted.
