2 Newark High Schools Make U.S. News ‘Best Of’ List
Life goes on despite the coronavirus, and so do the "best high school" rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

NEWARK, NJ — Attending high school in the age of the new coronavirus is an experience like no other in history, but U.S. News & World Report has kept up its rankings of the “best schools” in the nation.
The 2020 list ranked two Newark schools among the top 100 in New Jersey: Science Park High School and Technology High School.

SCIENCE PARK HS
- Ranking - 612th nationally, 27th in New Jersey
- Total Enrollment – 710
- Student to Teacher Ratio – 13 to 1
- AP Participation Rate – 61 percent
- Total Minority Enrollment – 83 percent
- Total Economically Disadvantaged Students – 76 percent
TECHNOLOGY HS

- Ranking - 2,007th nationally, 89th in New Jersey
- Total Enrollment – 597
- Student to Teacher Ratio – 12 to 1
- AP Participation Rate – 38 percent
- Total Minority Enrollment – 87 percent
- Total Economically Disadvantaged Students – 87 percent
