2017 East Coast ComiCon Returns To New Jersey

SECAUCUS, NJ — Danny Trejo. Ernie Hudson. Dawn Wells. A bevy of the comic book industry’s best writers and artists. And a $500 costume contest. These will be some of the highlights at the 2017 East Coast Comicon, “New Jersey’s largest comic convention,” which will return to the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.

Featured guests include:

• Danny Trejo (Machete, Heat)
• Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters, The Crow)
• Tony Todd (Candyman, Flash)
• Dawn Wells (Gilligan’s Island)
• Kevin Nash (WWE)
• A reunion of the original cast members of Lost in Space, including Angela Cartwright, Mark Goddard, Marta Kristen, and Bill Mumy
• Comic creators and artists such as George Perez, Marv Wolfman, Keith Giffen, Fabian Nicienza, Art Adams, Kyle Baker, Mike Zeck, Simon Bisley, Mike Grell, Denny O’Neill, Tim Bradstreet

In addition to the featured guests, the event will include a costume contest with a $500 prize, and more than 200 vendors and an assortment of comic books of all price ranges, posters, books, graphic novels, t-shirts, art, toys and other collectible items.

Paid photo opportunities will be available with some of the most recognized vehicles from movies and television, including the Batmobiles from three iterations of the caped crusader (1966, 1989, and 2005), the Monkees Mobile, the Munsters Koach, Stephen King’s Christine, and the Lost in Space chariot.

For 2017, the East Coast Comicon will also debut a 3-D diorama of the Star Wars trash compactor which will allow photo seekers to re-enact one of their favorite Star Wars scenes.
