NEW JERSEY — Feel the need for a scare? One of New Jersey’s most-anticipated Halloween season activities is back for 2022 – and it will run through the holiday.

Fright Fest returned to Six Flags Great Adventure last month, and will run until Oct. 31. Many classic activities will be back, including a ghoul parade, rides in the dark, “scare zones” with lurking zombies and witches, and multiple haunted houses. Learn more here.

Got little ones? There will also be family-friendly options during the daytime, the park says.

It’s worth catching up on a few “ghoul rules” if you plan on visiting Six Flags this Halloween season, the park notes. They include:

  • Halloween masks or full-face coverings, including hoods with front zippers, are not permitted and must be removed for safety reasons. Costume makeup is permitted for only half the face.
  • Please practice social distancing when possible and keep a safe distance from ghouls and other guests outside your party.
  • Please don’t scare the scare actors or other guests. No taunting, touching, following, or yelling.
  • Do not touch, remove, or damage props, scenery, webbing, or landscaping.
  • Violating the rules can result in ejection without a refund, up to and including arrest and prosecution.
