21-Year-Old Newark Man Reported Missing, Police Ask For Public's Help
The missing man, who has been diagnosed with autism, is known to frequent the area near a local recreation center, police said.
NEWARK, NJ -- Newark police are asking for the public's help finding a missing 21-year-old, authorities announced Friday evening.
Ylyjaa Wilson of Newark was reported missing on Friday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Wilson, who is autistic, has run away. He was last seen on the 200-block of Hunterdon Street, and is known to frequent the 300-block of Lyons Avenue near St. Peter’s Recreation Center, police said.

Authorities said Wilson is 6 feet 4 inches and 160 pounds, and has a birthmark in the center of his neck. He was wearing a black and white Nike T-shirt, black pants and white sneakers.
Police said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
