3 Of 11 Recent Powerball Wins In NJ Took Place In Newark
There have been three Powerball lottery wins in Newark within a week. Here's where the tickets were sold.
NEWARK, NJ — There have been three recent Powerball lottery wins in Newark in a three-day span – and there may be more to come.
As the Powerball jackpot increases to more than $1 billion for the Oct. 2 drawing – the fourth largest in history – New Jersey Lottery officials are recapping some recent wins across the state, including Newark.
From Sept. 25 through Oct. 1, there have been 11 Powerball tickets sold in New Jersey that topped $50,000. Three of those were sold in Newark at the following locations:

- Sept. 25 – $50,000 win, Maloco Liquors on Chestnut Street
- Sept. 27 – $50,000 win, Breeze Laundromat on Pacific Street
- Sept. 27 - $50,000 win, Guardys on Bloomfield Avenue
