3 People Shot In Newark, 1 Victim In Critical Condition: Police
Police found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds at the scene. Another victim was found a few blocks away.
NEWARK, NJ — Three people were shot in Newark on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, officers responded to the 600-block of South 17th Street at 10:11 a.m. after getting a call about a shooting. Police found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds at the scene.
Officers located a third victim – a woman – on the 400-block of South 17th Street.

Each victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment. The male victim is reportedly in critical condition, and the two female victims are in stable condition, authorities told Patch.
A police investigation continues. No additional information was immediately available.
