“On March 8, 2021, the defendants were in a stolen BMW-X5 when they approached 22-year-old Dedric Bracey on St. Paul Avenue in Newark. After following him, they stopped the vehicle. That’s when Armour and Jackson fired 13 shots at the victim, killing him. The defendants then fled the scene in the stolen car and drove to Irvington where the New Jersey State Police Motor Vehicle Crime North Unit tracked the vehicle. After a brief foot chase, the men were captured and arrested.”

Under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act, the defendants must serve 85 percent of their sentence before they are eligible for parole, prosecutors said.
