Details Revealed After 1 Killed, Teen And 12-Year-Old Shot At N.J. Church Community Center
Details were revealed after three teens were shot and one was killed at a New Jersey church community center on Tuesday night, police said.

Details were revealed after three people were shot and one was killed at a New Jersey church community center on Tuesday night, police said.
One 17-year-old boy is dead and at two teenage girls were injured in the shooting that happened inside the community hall of the Holy Ghost Tabernacle Ministries on Communipaw Avenue in Jersey City, according to authorities.
At approximately 11:25 p.m., Jersey City Police were dispatched to 517 Communipaw Ave. on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police found an unresponsive boy with an apparent wound to his upper body, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

The victim was later identified as Leander Williams, 17, of Jersey City. The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12 a.m.
Police officers also found a female victim, 16, with an apparent wound to her upper body. The victim was found sitting in a chair and she was responsive but disoriented. She was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where she was treated and released, according to the HCPO.

Police officers were also dispatched to a nearby Crown Chicken Restaurant located at 40 Crescent Avenue in Jersey City on a report that an additional shooting victim was located at that address. A second female victim, 12, with wounds to her upper body was found at that location, according to the HCPO.
That victim was also transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment of her wounds where she remains in stable condition.
No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide. The Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
