4 Newark School Board Members Face Ethics Complaints: Report

The nature of the complaints isn't clear, a report says.

NEWARK, NJ — The Newark Board of Education has four members currently facing complaints before the New Jersey School Ethics Commission, a report says.

On Thursday, the school board approved four resolutions to pay $285 per hour in attorney’s fees and expenses for the members at the center of the complaints. Administrators didn’t release the names of the board members or more information about the complaints during their Feb. 23 meeting, and the ethics commission has not released the complaints, Chalkbeat Newark reported.
