42 Newark Students Got Perfect PARCC Scores, ‘Set Bar High’

There aren't many chances in life – aside from bowling – where one can be "perfect." 42 Newark students are lifting the bar for their peers.

NEWARK, NJ — There aren’t many opportunities in life – aside from bowling – where one gets a chance to be “perfect.” But that’s just what dozens of Newark students did during this year’s Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) exam.

During a recent Newark Board of Education meeting, a group of 42 public school students earned a nod for achieving perfect scores on the PARCC test and displaying a mastery of English Language Arts and mathematics.

Superintendent Roger León said that the young scholars “set the bar high for achievement and set the stage of what is possible for other students.”
