NEWARK, NJ — Dozens of police recruits in Newark graduated from the academy during a ceremony at the William Mobile Ashby Community Care and Training Center last week.

The 45 newest members of the Newark Police Department celebrated their graduation from the Newark Police Academy on Friday (see photos in gallery above).

The class includes 36 male and nine female officers.
