Newark, NJ – A six-foot snake captured in Newark is believed to be an escaped pet, a report says.
A Newark police officer used a box to trap the reptile, which was found near a home on Fillmore Street around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, NJ.com reported.
The Associated Humane Societies, which handles animal control for Newark, showed up to assist in the removal of the animal, which is believed to be “an escaped pet,” according to NJ.com.
