$750K In Funding Will Help Reduce Homelessness In North Jersey
The United Community Corporation will distribute more than $750,000 to 12 local organizations that are running shelter programs.

NEWARK, NJ — A Newark-based nonprofit will distribute more than $750,000 to 12 North Jersey organizations that are helping to reduce homelessness with shelter programs, it recently announced.
According to the United Community Corporation (UCC), the funds came via BRIDGES/Community and Culture funding, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and the New Jersey Office of Homelessness Prevention.
Funds will go to a dozen organizations that run shelter services in Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Hudson, Sussex, and Warren counties (see list below).

“By supporting these organizations through this grant money that we were generously awarded, we want to help build hope, dignity and a path to a better future to individuals facing homelessness or those at risk of becoming homeless,” UCC Executive Director Craig Mainor said.
“Our communities thrive when we lift those in need,” Mainor added. “Together, we can make a real difference – one shelter at a time.”
