NEWARK, NJ — Eight nonprofits in Newark will be among more than two dozen statewide that split $8.2 million in funding aimed at reducing gun violence by empowering community activists.
Last week, Gov. Phil Murphy and Acting Attorney General Andrew Bruck announced that 25 nonprofit organizations will receive $8.2 million in grant funding for community-based violence intervention programming.
