9 Shot Outside NJ City Grocery Store, Including Teen: Reports
9 individuals were injured in a Thursday evening shooting outside a grocery store in New Jersey, according to multiple reports.
NEWARK, NJ - Nine individuals including one 17-year-old were injured in a Thursday evening shooting outside a grocery store in Newark, according to multiple reports.
Acting Newark Public Safety Director Raul Malave told reporters at the scene that all the victims are expected to survive, ABC News reported.
The incident occurred on the 200 block of Clinton Place around 6:20 p.m., according to FOX News. Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert, which detects gunfire. FOX also reported that the nine individuals were taken to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and University Hospital and are in stable condition.

Authorities are currently searching for a white Honda Pilot stolen from Jersey City that was believed to have been involved in the incident, ABC News added.
The motive behind the gunfire wasn’t immediately clear.
