90 Newark Firefighters Battle Blaze; 2 Families Relocated (VIDEO)
A Newark firefighter hurt his knee after falling through the floor while fighting the blaze, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — Nearly 90 Newark emergency responders battled a blaze at a residential building on Friday, with one firefighter suffering a knee injury, authorities said.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the two-alarm fire took place at a three-story, wood-frame building on the 300-block of Leslie Street around 6 a.m.
Arriving on the scene, firefighters located a kitchen fire that extended to the second and third floors. A second alarm was sounded about 30 minutes later, with about 90 firefighters in total working to extinguish the fire, which was put under control at 7:51 a.m., authorities said.

A firefighter suffered a knee injury after falling through the floor. Emergency responders treated him at the scene, authorities stated.
Two families, including nine adults and two children, were relocated, authorities said.
