Flying out of Newark Liberty International Airport is about to get cheaper.

Newark, NJ – Flying out of Newark Liberty International Airport is about to get cheaper.

The “low-fare” Allegiant Air announced Tuesday that it will be expanding operations to three new cities: Newark, Ogdensburg, NY, and Denver, CO.

Lukas Johnson of Allegiant told Skift.com that expanding to Newark was a way to capitalize on the Federal Aviation Administration’s April decision, which makes it easier for carriers to secure takeoff and landing slots at the busy airport, which is dominated by United Airlines.
