NEWARK, NJ — Several people accused of committing violent crimes in Newark were arrested as part of the police department’s latest warrant sweep, authorities announced earlier this week.
The Newark Department of Public Safety released the following list of charges and arrestees for the month of March:
Nasir McLean, 18, of Newark, was arrested on March 24, 2026. He was wanted for aggravated assault (shooting), unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, possession of prohibited weapons (sawed-off shotgun, hollow-nose ammunition, large capacity magazine, and defaced firearm). Mr. McLean was also wanted for warrants out of Montclair and Wall Township.
Elijah Mix, 32, of Newark, was arrested on March 2, 2026. He was being sought on charges of aggravated assault and harassment.
Rasheed Anifowoshe, 25, of Newark, was arrested on March 3, 2026. He was wanted on charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, and simple assault.
Nasir Drew, 26, of Jersey City, was arrested on March 4, 2026. He was wanted on charges of aggravated assault, harassment, cyber harassment, unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and violation of a temporary restraining order.
Jevohn Givens (also known as Justyn Greene), 21, of Newark, was arrested on March 10, 2026. He was wanted for unlawful possession of a weapon (rifle), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, and certain persons prohibited from weapon possession.
Luis Matos, 24, of Newark, was arrested on March 10, 2026. He was wanted for aggravated assault.
Abraham Watson, 19, of Newark, was arrested on March 11, 2026. He was being sought on outstanding charges of robbery and conspiracy.
Walter Harmon, 35, of Newark, was arrested on March 16, 2026. He was being sought on a charge of aggravated assault.
Rolston Nelson, 32, of Newark, was arrested on March 17, 2026. He was wanted on outstanding charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal mischief, and terroristic threats.
Gerard Crawford, 44, of Newark, was arrested on March 18, 2026. He had been sought on charges of assault by auto, unlawful possession of a weapon (auto), and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Adrihan Valerio-Saladin, 26, of Newark, was arrested on March 18, 2026. He was wanted on charges of aggravated arson and aggravated assault.
Destani Jacobs, 28, of Newark, was arrested on March 23, 2026. She was being sought on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon (knife), and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Thairah Rodgers, 20, of North Brunswick, was arrested on March 24, 2026. She was wanted on charges of aggravated assault and criminal restraint.
Alzheem Miller, 33, of Newark, was arrested on March 25, 2026. He was being sought on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and theft.
Ahmaad Hinton, 20, of Newark, was arrested on March 26, 2026. He was wanted on outstanding charges of aggravated assault, harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Christopher G. Gilbert, 28, of East Orange, was arrested on March 26, 2026. He was wanted on two counts of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun).
Amore T. Spencer, 41, of Dickson, PA, was arrested on March 26, 2026. He was being sought for three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons prohibited from weapon possession.
