NEWARK, NJ — A problem with a plane at Newark Liberty International Airport led to the second evacuation involving a United Airlines jet in two days.

A United Airlines 757 with 142 passengers aboard was evacuated Wednesday because the Los Angeles-bound aircraft had a cracked front gear and a flat tire, according to the Port Authority.

The incident happened around noon on the taxiway. Buses were en route to assist in disembarking the aircraft, according to the Port Authority.
