“[President Donald] Trump and his billionaire profiteers are trying to create a race to the bottom—on wages, on benefits, on dignity itself. This May Day we are fighting back. We are demanding a country that puts our families over their fortunes—public schools over private profits, health care over hedge funds, prosperity over free market politics.”
Local protests are being organized independently across New Jersey (see a map with locations here).
As of Friday, upcoming rallies are listed in Bloomfield, Cumberland County, Franklin Township, Glassboro, Newark, Newton, Ocean City, Pleasantville, Point Pleasant, Princeton, Trenton, and West Caldwell.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris took New Jersey in the 2024 presidential election, nailing down 2,220,713 votes (52 percent). Trump was close behind, scoring 1,968,215 votes – about 46.1 percent.
Trump performed much better on a statewide basis in last November’s election, however, flipping five New Jersey counties from blue to red.
