Armed Suspect Chased Victim Around Dollar Store In Newark: Police
Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect, who was armed with a gun, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — Police are searching for a person who allegedly chased a victim around a dollar store with a gun last week in Newark, authorities say.
The Newark Department of Public Safety released surveillance photos (see below) and the following details about the aggravated assault, which took place on Aug. 26:
“At approximately 9 p.m., the suspect entered the Dollar General store on the 400-block of Springfield Avenue and began chasing after the victim. The suspects fled on foot toward South 6th Street.”
Authorities said anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
