Authorities Investigate Fatal Crash In Newark

Newark, NJ – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that took place on the 300 block of North 6th Street in Newark on Thursday around 3 p.m.

Authorities identified the victim as Dino Whitaker, 32, of Irvington.

Whitaker was driving a BMW when he crashed into two parked cars shortly before 3 p.m. in the 300 block of North 6th Street, the Essex County Prosecutors Office stated.

The cause of death is pending autopsy, authorities added.

According to prosecutors, emergency responders transported Whitaker to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
