Bob Dylan’s Concerts In Newark Will Be ‘Phone-Free Experiences’

The iconic troubadour is coming to the Garden State for two shows at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

NEWARK, NJ — When you reach the level of music superstardom that Bob Dylan has hit, you can pull a few strings in the name of artistic expression. One of them? No cell phones at your concerts.

When the iconic troubadour comes to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark for his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour on Monday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Nov. 21, he’ll be hitting the stage with a caveat for people in the audience.

According to the NJPAC and Ticketmaster websites:

“This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security.”

Presale tickets for Dylan’s concerts at the NJPAC in Newark go on sale at 10 a.m. on Sept. 14. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Sept. 15. Learn more here or at the NJPAC website.
