‘Bomb Threat Bank Robber’ Surrenders To Newark Police: Officials
He handed a PNC Bank teller a note that he had a bomb. Then he demanded cash, Newark police said.

NEWARK, NJ — A man accused of robbing the PNC Bank on Central Avenue in Newark last week – with a note that he had a bomb – has surrendered himself to police, authorities said.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, a man entered the bank around 11:50 a.m. on April 5 and handed the teller a note that said he had a bomb. The man then demanded cash, took the loot and fled the bank on foot.
The amount of cash taken during the robbery wasn’t disclosed in an initial police statement.

Later that afternoon, Kadeem Clarke, 27, of Newark, turned himself into Newark police in connection with the robbery. He was taken into custody without further incident, authorities said.
Police charged Clarke with robbery and creating a false public alarm.
