NEWARK, NJ — Police evacuated a high school in Newark on Tuesday afternoon due to a bomb threat, but no explosive devices were found, authorities said.

According to a Newark police spokesperson, officers responded to Arts High School on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 1 p.m. when someone called in a bomb threat.

Authorities evacuated the school, but no explosives were found. The building was declared safe after a search, police said.
