Brandy Returns to Lifetime for ‘Christmas Everyday’ Sequel With Daughter Sy’rai Smith

Brandy Norwood is heading back to Lifetime for another holiday season.

The Grammy Award-winning singer and actress will reprise her role as Francine “Fancy” Ballantine in Christmas Everyday Again, the working title for the sequel to Lifetime’s Christmas Everyday. Brandy will also executive produce the film, continuing a story that earned her an NAACP Award nomination for her performance in the original movie.

She’ll once again share the screen with her real-life daughter, Sy’rai Smith, who returns as Fancy’s younger sister, Belle. Debbi Morgan reprises her role as their mother, Evelyn, while Robert C. Riley returns as Fancy’s fiancé, Jaylen.

This time, Fancy is balancing the future of her Chicago fashion boutique with plans for her dream Christmas wedding. But growing business pressure and the unexpected return of an ex threaten the life she’s been working to build.

“I’m so excited to step back into Fancy’s world,” Brandy said in the announcement. “Making Christmas Everyday was such a special experience, and I’m thrilled that audiences will get to continue this journey with these characters.”

The returning cast also includes Kajuana S. Marie, Journey Carter, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, and Lamman Rucker, with Gregory Alan Williams joining the sequel as Earl.

The film recently wrapped production and will be part of Lifetime’s upcoming It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday slate.
