Brussels To Newark, JFK Flights Cancelled Tuesday After Tragic Attacks

Authorities cancelled all flights between Brussels and JFK/Newark International Airports on Tuesday in the aftermath of attacks that killed at least 26 people in Brussels.

The Port Authority of NY/NJ posted notice about the flight cancellations via Twitter at 6:44 a.m.

Scott Ladd, a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman, said Port Authority Police are increasing their anti-terrorism presence at Newark Liberty, JFK and LaGuardia airports.

Two United Airlines flights destined for Brussels International Airport Tuesday morning were rerouted, the airline stated.
