Burglar Steals $10,000 From Dunkin' Donuts In Newark, Flees When Delivery Driver Arrives: Police
The burglary was captured on surveillance video, police said.

NEWARK, NJ — A burglar broke into a Dunkin’ donut shop in Newark and stole nearly $10,000 earlier this week, fleeing the scene after a delivery driver pulled up outside the business, police say.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the burglary took place on Sunday at the Dunkin’ on the 100-block of Bergen Street.
Police officers got a call about a burglary, arriving at the store around 9:30 p.m. The officers found the glass front door shattered and entered the premises to search the property, but the suspect had already fled.

Surveillance video footage shows a man enter the business after breaking the door. He makes his way to a back office and rummages through drawers and storage areas, eventually opening a file cabinet with cash inside. The burglar takes the money and flees the scene after being confronted outside by a delivery driver, who had just pulled up to the business.
Authorities said the suspect has a goatee and was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and black pants with red and white designs on both legs (see photos below).
