School Board Elections

On Tuesday, April 21, the polls are open in the School Board Elections in Newark and Irvington.   This is an election for people who decide the budget, the contracts, the recommended curricula, facilities and staffing of public schools in their districts.         Those elected serve as volunteers ; and combine efforts in committees.   The superintendent of schools, administrators, staff, and students are all under the decisions made by the board.
