Car Stolen In Irvington, Used In Newark Armed Robbery: Police
Newark detectives are trying to identify the suspect and find the vehicle.
NEWARK, NJ — A suspect recently used a car stolen in Irvington to flee an armed robbery in Newark, authorities say.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the robbery took place at 6:51 a.m. on Sunday, as the victim was walking on the 100-block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
A man brandished a handgun and robbed the victim of his personal belongings, then fled the scene in a white 2017 Toyota Highlander bearing New Jersey registration #C18KSF. The car was stolen in Irvington on Saturday, authorities said.

Newark police released a surveillance photo of the vehicle on Tuesday (see below).
Authorities said the suspect was described as a man who is 5 feet 10 inches and 170 pounds. He was wearing all-black clothing and a face mask.
