Car Stolen In Nutley, Suspect Arrested In Clifton: Police

Officers also found a pocketbook in the car, which was stolen from an unlocked car parked in a driveway on North Road, Nutley police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police charged a Passaic resident with burglary and theft last week after they were caught in a stolen vehicle in Clifton, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers received a call from their counterparts in Clifton on Aug. 27, who told them they had a suspected car thief in custody.

After further investigation, police determined the vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a Cathedral Avenue home in Nutley. Officers also found a pocketbook in the car, which was stolen from an unlocked car parked in a driveway on North Road, authorities said.

Police charged the accused thief, Angel Lucero, 20, of Passaic, with burglary and two counts of theft.
