Cat Thrown From 10-Story Building In Newark Finds New Home
The Siamese cat was allegedly tossed out of an apartment window and was found "in obvious pain."

A cat allegedly thrown out of a 10-story apartment building window in Newark has found a new home.
According to the Friends of the Associated Humane Society, the shelter’s ACO found the Siamese cat “in obvious pain” following its fall on June 10.
“When [the ACO] approached, the frightened feline went under a car and hid near the tire,” wrote shelter staff. “When [the ACO] finally coaxed the cat into her arms, she saw that there were injuries to the legs.”

The feline was rushed it to the Fairfield Emergency Hospital for evaluation.
A nearby resident told the ACO that they saw the cat thrown from the 10th floor of the building.

Luckily, the feline had no internal injuries or broken bones as a result of its fall, the shelter reported.
“After spending more than a month in our Medical Department for cage rest and lots of TLC, Shannon was adopted today by a wonderful family who just adore her,” the shelter stated in a social media update on July 31.
