Comedian Breaks Attendance Record At Newark Concert Venue
A whole lot of funny business recently took place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

NEWARK, NJ — A whole lot of funny business was happening at the Prudential Center in Newark last weekend.
Matt Rife’s “Stay Golden World Tour” appearance on Saturday was the highest-attended comedy show in the Prudential Center’s 18-year history. The record-breaking show attracted 18,486 guests.
Previous arena attendance records for comedy included Sebastian Maniscalco in March of 2025 (18,457), Sebastian Maniscalco in March of 2022 (18,033), Kevin Hart in July of 2018 (16,956), and Dane Cook in May of 2009 (14,843).

After an attendance dip during the coronavirus pandemic, the Prudential Center has been seeing a resurgence of interest from comedy and music fans over the past few years.
Another recent record-breaking show took place at the venue in March 2024, when country music superstar Zach Bryan brought a whopping 19,151 fans along for a concert.
