Coopers Ferry Partnership and Camden Illegal Dumping Team Win Open Space Award

New Jersey Clean Communities Council Recognizes Coopers Ferry Partnership and the Camden Illegal Dumping Team with Open Space Award

Coopers Ferry Partnership (CFP) and the Camden Illegal Dumping Team have received the “Open Space” Award from the New Jersey Clean Communities Council (NJCCC), honoring their participation in the state Department of Environmental Protection’s Illegal Dumping Program.

The City of Camden was one of three cities to pilot the program, designed to prosecute dumpers and provide legal evidence needed for court. CFP, a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to coherently planning and implementing high-quality urban redevelopment projects in Camden, and the Camden Illegal Dumping Team aim to transform Camden into a greener, cleaner, and safer city while educating the public about the city’s environmental issues.

“We are excited to watch Camden grow into a metropolitan city through the volunteer service and commitment from the community,” said CFP Vice President of Neighborhood Initiatives, Meishka Mitchell.
