Daddy Yankee Will Stop In Newark For 2022 Retirement Tour

NEWARK, NJ — The music icon who gained fame as the “King of Reggaetón” is retiring after more than three decades in the industry, and he’ll be making a stop in New Jersey as part of his 2022 farewell tour.
Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, who goes by the professional name of as Daddy Yankee, announced his retirement from the music business earlier this month (watch the video below).
“This race, which has been a marathon, finally sees the finish line,” he told fans.

Before he goes, Daddy Yankee is releasing a final effort, “Legendaddy,” on March 24, which he says will be “all the styles that have defined me in one single album.”
Daddy Yankee will also be kicking off a world tour in August. He will bring the “La Última Vuelta World Tour” to the Prudential Center in Newark on Thursday, Sept. 8. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting on Friday, April 1 at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. Learn more here.
