Dozens Of Flights Canceled At Newark Airport As Storm Hits
Almost 100 flight cancellations took place at Newark Airport on Tuesday amid Tropical Storm Isaias. More are expected, officials said.
NEWARK, NJ — Dozens of flight cancellations took place at Newark Airport on Tuesday amid heavy rain and winds from Tropical Storm Isaias.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 83 flights have been canceled at Newark Airport, a total that’s expected to increase, Port Authority officials said.
“Confirm [your] flight with your carrier prior to arriving at [the airport],” officials advised.

AirTrain service at the airport was temporarily suspended due to the weather; shuttle buses were made available, Port Authority officials said.
