Driver Tried To Hit Newark Cop With His Car: Police

Authorities are asking for the public's help finding a 32-year-old man who allegedly tried to strike a Newark police sergeant with his car.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a 32-year-old man who allegedly tried to strike a Newark police sergeant with his car earlier this month.

On Sunday, the Newark Department of Public Safety (NDPS) announced officers are searching for Nathaniel Plummer, 32, who is wanted in connection with an aggravated assault that took place against an officer on Feb. 18. (See below photo)

According to the NDPS:

“Detectives investigating this incident developed information connecting Plummer to the assault… While police are actively searching for Plummer, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets.”
